Kay Hartung
Kay Hartung works in encaustic and mixed media creating paintings and prints that captivate the eye with their color and energy. She is inspired by geometric forms and patterns found in the natural world. She builds depth in her imagery layer by layer, creating textures and color relationships that engage the viewer on a visceral level. Hartung's creative journey is deeply rooted in her background in fibers and textiles, a rich tapestry of knowledge that infuses her art with an understanding of the interplay between material and form.
Hartung received a BFA from Philadelphia College of Art, and an MFA from

Arts Council, Malden Arts Council and the Ford Foundation. Hartung has
taught at Endicott College, MA, and Bradford College, MA, among others.
