Reception: 3-5pm, Saturday, March 2
This March, Loading Dock Gallery presents Replications, a show of color and whimsy inspired by nature, featuring the work of artists Nicole Brunelle, Carolyn Lee, and Vivian Rosalee.
Sharing color ideas and subject matter, Brunelle, Lee, and Rosalee created work that ranges from realistic to abstract. Replications includes wall art, stained glass, textile pieces, and jewelry.
Rosalee works in ink and acrylic gouache. Her style combines strong design and bright rich colors. She renders realistic and imaginary creatures with equal delight, in moods that range from tenderness to humor.
Brunelle translates nature imagery into stained glass. Subjects include birds, mushrooms, dragonflies, as well as abstract studies of leaves, water, and sky.
Lee enjoys exploring techniques and discovering new combinations of materials. Her work includes mixed media paintings, beaded jewelry, and fabric art, including cyanotype, monoprint, and paper quilling.

April in the Showcase Gallery
5 Connect
April 3 - April 28
Reception: 3-5pm, Saturday, April 6
Loading Dock Gallery presents 5 Connect, featuring work of Nancy Cameron, Denise Driscoll, Dina Mordeno, Laurie Simko, and Janet Wolahan.
Connected through friendship, these five artists work share an interest in color, texture, and pattern. Their styles span abstract to representational, with subjects ranging from pure color to botanicals and landscapes.
Cameron’s work is calligraphic, improvisatory, inspired by jazz and the city. Driscoll builds layers with stamps, drips, creating work speaks to inner unseen experience and patterns of connection. Mordeno grounds the spirit with meditations on the horizon, a metaphor for hope for the future in a time of unrest. Inspired by nature’s interconnectedness, Simko creates fluid, joyful paintings and collage. Wolahan offers a series in black and white, with hints of color, based on stone retaining walls on Rockport’s Front Beach.
