Sandrine Colson's Kaleidoscopes 
 October 1st through the 26th

Kaleidoscopes visualize continuously changing patterns of shapes and colors. In our continuously shifting or rapidly changing world, kaleidoscopes represent the unknown, change and choices we could make toward a specific path. In some ways they represent paths between reality and non-reality, how we view things in multiple ways or dimensions, making connections through our reality, dreams and how everything intermixes. They are windows toward new possibilities, openings towards new real or unreal universes that our mind constructs. They are opportunities for change.
 
Artist's Statement: In this exhibition, I was most inspired by the changing aspect of kaleidoscope in terms of shapes and colors but also how kaleidoscopes can symbolize ever-changing endless possibilities, and the human experience. Thus, I explored different ways (media) of representing the world of Kaleidoscopes: paper collages, acrylic pouring, 3D sculptures, mixed media and digital work.
