A galaxy of delight shines at the Loading Dock Gallery this December. Winter Lights: Gifts for the Holidays offers gifts that range from scented soap to sophisticated furniture. Each item is hand-made by a local artist.
Bring your list. Bring a friend. The child-at-heart will love a sock doll. Someone special deserves jewelry. Wool and silk accessories ward off winter with style. Attending a party? Give the host a serving tray of wood or glass. Light up a home with art. Hand-painted pillows brighten the sofa. Pottery mugs warm the table.
Winter Lights: Gifts for the Holidays runs from November 29 through December 31 at Loading Dock Gallery, 122 Western Avenue, Lowell, MA. Join the artists’ reception on Saturday December 2, from 5-7 PM. The Loading Dock’s Back Door Gallery features the art of Heidi Jackson.
Extra holiday hours: Loading Dock Gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 5:30 PM, and Sunday, noon to 4 PM. In addition, in November, the Gallery stays open Thursdays until 8 PM. In December, the Gallery opens Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 PM, and Sunday, noon to 4 PM, and is open Thursdays until 8 PM.
Thursday, December 14, Loading Dock Gallery joins local artists for Handmade Holiday Night on the A-Mill Loading Dock of Western Avenue Studios, 5 to 9 PM. Light refreshments will be available, to benefit the Miracle Providers.
